Mississauga, ON – March 1, 2012 - Compass Group Canada is pleased to announce that Eli Bamfo, Environmental Health and Safety Specialist has been named one of Ontario Hostelry Institute’s (OHI) Top 30 Under 30 for 2012.

Each year, OHI’s Top 30 Under 30 recognizes 30 young professionals thirty years of age or younger across various segments of the foodservice and hospitality industry. This recognition celebrates young professionals in the industry and spotlights some of the next generation of hospitality leaders by highlighting their great work.

Eli’s commitment to educating and engaging associates in health, safety and sustainability programs and practices, in addition to leading Compass Group Canada’s internal Green Lantern and Junior Achievement programs are a few reasons for the much deserved recognition. Her passion combined with technical skills and desire to make Compass units a better place inspires those who work with her each day.

This recognition also marks the second consecutive year a Compass Group Canada associate has been named to the Top 30 Under 30 list. In 2011, Todd Hand, Senior Manager Business Channels with Foodbuy was recognized.

Winners were recently recognized during an award ceremony held at George Brown College’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and will appear in a full page ad in an upcoming edition of the Globe and Mail announcing the winners.
